Agency Description: In association with Trinity House, Rural Retreats is pleased to present Pendeen Lighthouse. Pendeen Lighthouse lies 6 miles north of Land’s End and 2 miles from St Just.
The lighthouse was established in 1900, electrified in 1926 and automated in 1994. The site comprises a terrace of 4 cottages, 2 of which are available for self catering holidays – Solebay and Argus.

The fog horn activates automatically. To minimise discomfort guests may wish to bring ear plugs just in case conditions are misty.
While the cliff edge is protected by a 4′ high wall, children must be under strict control at all times for their safety.
Access roads to some of the lighthouse sites are narrow with limited passing places and, dependent on the season and site, there is the possibility of overhanging vegetation due to cutting restrictions during bird breeding seasons or other environmental reasons.
Guests should be aware that the lighthouses and equipment need regular and sometimes emergency maintenance. Therefore visits by maintenance staff may occur at any time during the year. However, staff will do their best to ensure guest privacy at all times. Large walled patio to rear.
